This winter we will be supporting the Pilion Crash Pad shelter for the third year running, providing funding for all food costs, as well as 3 education projects including; Cannabis Awareness, Young Women’s self esteem workshops and Employability courses.
The foundation donated almost £20,000 last year at a time when the shelter, based at the Caledonian Road Methodist Church, was under threat of closure as it receives no statutory funds.
The shelter specialises in helping young people struggling with drink and drug abuse, which was why this year they wanted to focus their attention on providing those referred to the shelter with the information, tools and confidence to make more informed life decisions.
