AWF Donates £30,000 To Rehab Charity Focus 12

The Amy Winehouse Foundation, represented by Mitch and Jane Winehouse, has donated £30,000 to a rehabilitation charity in Suffolk.

Focus 12, which helps people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, received a cheque from the Foundation on February 24, with the donation being used to sponsor a full-time place for youngsters battling their addiction.

Focus12 Chief Executive Chip Somers said: “We are tremendously grateful for this donation, which will help us to make a real difference to the lives of young people in crisis.”

Mitch and Jane also took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which took place to officially launch Focus 12’s new therapy centre The Annexe, which will offer counselling to patients suffering from depression and anxiety.

About the Amy Winehouse Foundation

In Amy’s memory, we work to inspire children and young people to build their self-esteem and resilience, so that they can flourish.

Our work is inspired by Amy’s spirit, her love of children and the challenges that she faced in her own life.

Today, the Amy Winehouse Foundation helps thousands of young people to feel supported and informed so that they are better able to manage their emotional wellbeing and make informed choices around things that can affect their lives.

We’re able to do this because of the support we receive from people like you. Anyone who believes in young people can become a part of our work and Amy’s legacy. By supporting our work, you will help them to transform their lives, flourish and be heard.
