What we do

Supporting, informing and inspiring young people.

Since 2011, the Amy Winehouse Foundation has established itself as one of the UK’s leading charities working with young people.

Everything we do is designed to build meaningful connections with the children and young people we work with – to form relationships that foster hope and optimism. We do this in three ways:

  • Co-production – we work with our beneficiaries to understand how and what support currently exists and what is needed.
  • Collaboration – we work with other charities and organisations to develop new approaches.
  • Sharing lived experience – over 90% of our employees and volunteers have had similar challenges to the children and young people we work with. By providing genuine examples of overcoming adversity in their own lives, peer workers can inspire empowerment and self-determination.
