September 12th-14th marked AWF’s 3rd birthday, and what would have been Amy’s 31st. We asked our amazing supporters to mark this special occasion by fundraising for AWF, and have been overwhelmed by the efforts and support we have received from some of our fundraisers. We would like to thank the following fundraisers for their huge efforts, we couldn’t do it without you.
Laura Butler held a gig at The Boot Inn, Sutton Coldfield on 13th September which raised over £900. We are so grateful for Laura’s support as she has organised many gigs to raise funds for us over the last few years.
Alexandre Ferreira organised an exhibition in Brazil which took place in Natal on 2nd- 6th September, and in Fortaleza on 15th-19th . The exhibition featured artwork from many artists who have continuously supported such as Henry Hate, Horace Panter and Pegasus.
Marc Blackburn held his annual all day music event on 13th September in September, which has raised over £2000 over the last 3 years. Plans are already in motion for next years event!
Adam Richardson ran the BUPA Great north Run on 7th September in 1hour 36 minutes (his personal best!) and raised over £500 for the Resilience Programme.
Thanks again to all our fundraisers. If you would like to raise funds for AWF and help us continue our work to prevent the effects of drug and alcohol misuse on young people, then please email us at fundraising@amywinehousefoundation.org for more information.
