Set to be one of the greatest Ultra Challenges – basecamp is in Scarborough – famous for its Fair, and a popular seaside spa since the 17th century. The route heads around the town & beaches, past the castle and then north along the Cleveland Way, with a stunning & historic coastline up through Robin Hood Bay and onwards to Whitby, of Captain Cook & Abbey fame, and our welcome halfway 50km stop. For full 100km challengers, it’s inland along the Esk Valley before heading south into classic moorland scenery.
